Land at Café Field, Puckeridge

Suono undertook an assessment of noise from the local road network, specifically Standon Hill (A120) to the proposed Wates Development housing scheme as part of the outline planning application. This was based on noise levels measured across the site.

Glazing and ventilation configurations were proposed to control noise levels within the proposed dwellings, accounting for proposed buffer zones as part of the development. Appropriate noise control methods during overheating conditions were also considered with areas presented where openable windows would not be an appropriate strategy. The extent of areas where gardens would require screening was also determined.
