PAVA + Sound Systems
Speech intelligibility is a fundamental requirement of many sound systems (as defined in BS EN IEC 60268 Part 16), and for public address or voice alarm the acoustic performance of the system may be an essential part of the emergency evacuation and life safety strategy.
We work with audio system consultants and equipment suppliers (who will provide the electrical and structural design of the sound system) to develop the placement and specification of loudspeakers, while also working with architectural teams to develop the room acoustic design and specification of sound absorbent materials. This holistic approach enables us to keep both room acoustic solutions and sound system designs efficient and coordinated with any architectural visual aesthetic.
We undertake acoustic commissioning tests and troubleshooting of installed systems and provide remedial design advice as required where achieved performance is unsatisfactory.
